Frequently Asked Questions
You may still have a few questions about how this work is different and whether it’s the right fit for you. The answers below reflect the ones I hear most often.
-
No. TheraCoaching™ is not psychotherapy. It does not diagnose, treat, or manage mental health conditions, and it does not replace therapy.
Psychotherapy plays an important role in supporting individuals who are seeking clinical care or working within a therapeutic treatment model. Many women have experienced meaningful healing through therapy, and I say that with deep respect from my own years working as a therapist.
TheraCoaching™ operates in a different context. It is a relational integration method created for women who want to understand the imprints that formed them – and consciously reshape their next chapter.
Experiences such as loss, difficult relationships, or painful chapters may certainly be part of the story explored here. The difference is that TheraCoaching™ is not an open-ended process. It unfolds over a focused period of inquiry, helping women recognize the patterns shaping their lives and integrate that awareness into intentional change.
This work is best suited for women who have the capacity to pause, reflect, and engage their lives with intention—rather than those currently needing clinical care or urgent support.
-
Many coaching techniques help people clarify direction, shift perspective, or build new habits. Those approaches can be valuable.
TheraCoaching™ is not centered on performance, productivity, or external outcomes. Rather, it is grounded in a developmental relational framework — The Imprint Arc™.
Instead of focusing primarily on goals or mindset adjustments, the work explores how early relational environments leave imprints that carry into adulthood. It is designed for women who sense that something deeper is guiding how they live, relate, and respond— patterns that cannot be resolved by strategy alone.
Through a defined process of reflection and integration, women begin to see why certain dynamics repeat in their lives and how to reshape those patterns with greater awareness and intention. From that clarity, change becomes more than an alteration in behavior— it becomes a transformation in how you understand yourself and move through your life.
-
That’s actually very common.
Many women who come to TheraCoaching™ have already done meaningful inner work. They’ve explored therapy, read extensively about personal growth, or spent years reflecting on their lives — yet something still feels unresolved.
Often the missing piece isn’t effort. It’s acknowledging the deeper dynamics influencing how you see yourself, your relationships, and what feels possible in your life.
TheraCoaching™ focuses on identity-level integration— helping women reorganize the imprints that formed them so they can move forward with greater clarity, alignment, and self-authorship.
-
TheraCoaching™ is designed for women who sense that something in their lives is ready to shift and who are willing to step back and explore what has shaped the way they live and relate.
Many appear to have everything working on the surface, yet feel quietly disconnected from themselves after years of carrying expectations, relationships, and responsibilities.
This work is for women who are ready to pull back from constant problem-solving long enough to understand what has been shaping their lives—so the next chapter can be authored consciously rather than repeated by default.
-
Yes — in certain contexts.
The focus of Donna J. TheraCoaching™ is supporting women as they explore identity, relational patterns, and life transitions. Because those patterns often unfold within relationships, there are times when it may be helpful to include a male partner in a session.
In those situations, I would meet with both partners to support clearer communication and understanding. The primary focus of the work, however, remains the woman’s growth and insight.
While TheraCoaching™ is not currently offered as a standalone service for men, the broader developmental framework of The Imprint Arc™ will be expanding in the future to explore how these ideas apply within men’s developmental and relational journeys as well.
-
The Imprint Arc™ is the developmental framework that informs the TheraCoaching™ Method.
It explores how early relational environments leave imprints that carry into adulthood — influencing how we cope, connect, protect ourselves, and interpret our experiences.
Recognizing these imprint patterns allow women to move forward with greater awareness and consciously reshape the story they are living.
The framework will be explored more deeply in my upcoming book, The Imprint Arc™.

TheraCoaching™ follows a defined process rather than an open-ended conversation model.
Women may begin with a TheraCoaching™ Clarity Intensive or an Imprint Mapping™ Assessment, followed by a guided five-week pathway that combines reflective practices with integrative sessions.
The goal is not endless discussion, but clear insight that leads to meaningful and lasting change.
-
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
Most women come to TheraCoaching™ simply sensing that something in their life is ready to shift — even if they can’t yet name exactly what it is.
If you find yourself noticing recurring dynamics, questioning long-standing themes, or feeling that your next chapter needs to be different from the last one, you are likely ready to begin the conversation.
The Connection Call is simply a place to explore that sense of readiness and determine whether this work is the right next step.
-
A Connection Call is a brief conversation where we explore what is bringing you here and whether TheraCoaching™ is the right next step.
There is no pressure or obligation. It’s simply a space to ask questions, discuss the season of life you’re currently navigating, and determine the most supportive starting point for you.
-
Yes. Sessions are available online and can be done from anywhere. Many women appreciate the privacy and flexibility this format allows.
-
Fees vary depending on the level of support that fits your situation.
Most women begin with either a Clarity Intensive or a deeper Assessment process such as the Imprint Mapping™ Assessment or Zensational Design™ Assessment.
From there, some continue into one of the guided TheraCoaching™ pathways designed to support meaningful integration over several weeks.
Because each woman’s starting point and goals are different, fees are discussed during the Connection Call, where we determine the most appropriate entry point for your situation.
This ensures the work is aligned with what will actually support you — rather than placing you into a one-size-fits-all program.
-
No. TheraCoaching™ is not covered by insurance.
Because it is a non-clinical coaching service and does not involve diagnosis or treatment, it is offered as a private-pay service.
Many women appreciate this model because it allows for greater privacy, flexibility, and depth.
